With reference to the subject mentioned above and memo under reference, he/she is hereby requested to take necessary action as per Section 28 of The Right of Children to free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. He is also requested to communicate the matter to all concerns of his/ her institution.

সরকারি শিক্ষকদের প্রাইভেট টিউশন রুখতে কড়া নির্দেশিকা শিক্ষা দপ্তরের
রাজ্যের সরকারি এবং সরকারি সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত স্কুলের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকারা যাতে কোনও ভাবেই প্রাইভেট টিউশন করতে না পারেন তার জন্য শিক্ষা দপ্তর কঠোর পদক্ষেপ নিচ্ছে। শিক্ষক- শিক্ষিকারা প্রাইভেট টিউশনের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হলে এবার তাদের বিরুদ্ধে চরম শাস্তিমূলক ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে বলে জানানো হয়েছে। শিক্ষা দপ্তর এক নির্দেশিকায় জানিয়েছে রাজ্যের সব সরকারি স্কুল, সরকারি সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত স্কুল, মডেল স্কুল এবং এনআইজিএসগুলির শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকারা এবার থেকে আর কোনও ভাবেই প্রাইভেট টিউশান করতে পারবেন না। এই নিয়মের অন্যথা হলে তার চাকরিও কেড়ে নেওয়া হতে পারে। পেনশনও আটকে যেতে পারে। এই নির্দেশ যাতে অক্ষরে অক্ষরে মেনে চলা হয় তার জন্য রাজ্যের স্কুল শিক্ষা দপ্তরের তরফে সব স্কুলের প্রধান শিক্ষকদের কাছে নোটিস পাঠানো হচ্ছে বলে জানা গিয়েছে।
সম্প্রতি, গৃহশিক্ষকদের একটি সংগঠন স্কুল শিক্ষা দপ্তরে প্রমাণ-সহ ৬১জন শিক্ষকের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ জানায় যে তাঁরা নিয়মলঙ্ঘণ করে প্রাইভেট টিউশানি করে চলেছেন। সেই অভিযোগ খতিয়ে দেখার পরেই এই পদক্ষেপ।
রাজ্যের সরকারি ও সরকারি সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত স্কুলগুলির শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকাদের প্রাইভেট টিউশানির রোগ দীর্ঘদিনের। আর তা নিয়ে গৃহশিক্ষকদের ক্ষোভও দীর্ঘদিনের। বাম জমানাতেই আইন করে সরকারি ও সরকারি সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত স্কুলগুলির শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকাদের প্রাইভেট টিউশানি নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়। কিন্তু তারপরেও দেখা যায় ওই সব স্কুলের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকারা চুটিয়ে প্রাইভেট টিউশানি করে চলেছেন। কেউ নিজের বাড়িতে, কেউবা ভাড়া বাড়িতে। অনেকে আবার কোচিংয়ের সঙ্গেও যুক্ত হয়ে গিয়েছেন। সম্প্রতি, গৃহশিক্ষকদের একটি সংগঠন স্কুল শিক্ষা দপ্তরে প্রমাণ-সহ ৬১ জন শিক্ষকের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ জানায় যে তাঁরা নিয়মলঙ্ঘণ করে প্রাইভেট টিউশানি করে চলেছেন। মনে করা হচ্ছে সেই অভিযোগ খতিয়ে দেখার পরেই এবার নড়েচড়ে বসেছে রাজ্যের স্কুল শিক্ষা দপ্তর। তার জেরেই সোমবার রাতে ওই নোটিস বার করা হয়েছে।
